Henry's Farmers Market

Since we've been in San Diego and we've had such nice weather I'm always craving cold fruit. I mean, I always love fruit wherever we are but this fruit in California is AMAZING! And so I have a new favorite store. It's called Henry's Farmers Market but Jared and I just call it Henry's!! Original, huh?? It's a small store they have all over Cali and they always have great sales on organic fruits and veggies and meat. Every week or so I go and get strawberries, apples, bananas, squash, zucchinni, etc. The prices are great and they taste so good. Today I went and they had strawberries on sale for 97 cents a pound and chicken breasts for $1.97 a pound. In Idaho, they would cost me a lot more. I love to cook so always having good deals and fresh organic food makes me so happy. I could spend all day in that store!! Okay so maybe just a few hours. They also have tasting parties every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so you can go and taste their food in different ways they've prepared it. So I have had more than enough fruit and vegetables while we've been here and I'm sad that I can't take the store back with me.

Also, it has been 6 months since Jared and I got married. Yesterday was June 22! I can't believe it already 6 months. Time has gone by so fast! We had a good day. We went to our ward at 9 and came home and relaxed. My uncle that we are staying with and his partner went to lunch at some friends' house so we got to just spend the day together. We love going to the parks that are nearby and riding bikes and reading so we did that and came home. It was a good Sunday!

We only have 2 more weeks left in San Diego. We still have so much that we want to do. I have been going to the beach while Jared is working and it has been so hot!! My white legs were not ready for so much sun!! Even though I used sunscreen I still got quite the sunburn. I now have a very interesting tan line!! Jared and I went to Imperial Beach on Friday night and walked up and down the water. It was great. We watched the sun set and got a few pictures!! I finally remembered to bring my camera!! Then on Saturday we woke up and drove to La Jolla cove and watched the seals swim and watched all the surfers on the huge waves!! It was such a beautiful, beautiful place. We would love to live there!! It's sort of a touristy type of town right on the ocean with so many great views and place to snorkel. Then we drove over to a different beach area in La Jolla. It was packed!! There were so many people we had to park about 2 miles away and walk just to get there. I remembered my camera that day too so I guess I getting to be a better tourist. We swam in La Jolla and then left there and went to another Padres game. Those games are so fun!! It made for a long day but it was worth it! This Saturday we are going to the San Diego Zoo!! I'm so excited. I love the zoo. When I was little, my grandma and parents would take me to the zoo and I would buy and collect the little baby animal replicas so I could have my own zoo at home. Going to the zoo just brings back such great memories and so I am looking forward to that. We are also going to the aquarium and on a ferry across to Coronado Island. Jared is done on July 3 so we'll be driving back to Pocatello next weekend!! 6 weeks has already flown by and it's been such a fun trip! I'll post pictures of all our weekend fun as soon as I can find my camera cord!! Hope everyone is doing well!!
