I'M IN!

After a much awaited couple of years I FINALLY got accepted to dental hygiene school at ISU. I received a phone call yesterday telling me that they were sending me my acceptance letter for this coming fall's class! I was so excited. I have been applying to dental hygiene school since 2005. My first year wasn't successful but I applied the next year and got in. But around that same time, I met Jared and decided to take a year off to see what happened with us. So I deferred my acceptance to UCDH in Orem and moved to Pocatello to work for my uncle Rusty, who is a dentist. I decided to apply to the dental hygiene program at ISU for 2007 but was accepted as an alternate. No one dropped out so I wasn't offered a spot. So I applied again this year and was offered another alternate position. I was a little disappointed to be an alternate again and wondered whether or not I was supposed to go or really wanted to go. But I accepted the spot and knew I would just have to wait and see what happened. The phone call came as a complete shock; I wasn't expecting anyone to give up their spot. It's such a blessing to finally have the opportunity. I'm totally ready to go back to school for dental hygiene. Jared and I will be in school for one year together and then he graduates in May 2009. I will graduate the next year in 2010. I can't wait!!
