Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Life changes so fast and turns out so differently than you expect, and more often than not, so much better than you could have imagined. I have been thinking about this a lot lately as I have been debating whether or not to go to dental hygiene school. When I originally was accepted as an alternate, I doubted that I would get into school so I began to research and decide on other things that I would like to do. I really loved my health science classes at school and I loved working at the Wellness Center also. So I began to look for my options with that.
And then I got accepted to dental hygiene school! So there I was standing at my fork in the road. Which road was I going to take? After much deliberation, I decided that dental hygiene school was not for me. It was such a difficult decision considering I have been wanting to go for several years. And yet now that I have made the decision not to go I can already see the difference just that one decision has made. Instead of going to dental hygiene school, I am currently certifying to be an ACSM personal trainer and health/fitness instructor. I am also specializing in pre/post natal exercise and nutrition and weight management. I have such a passion for health and nutrition and have a great desire to educate others about this passion.
Enough about that, the McKee family went to Bear Lake last week and we had such a fun time. They go every summer and we hang out, go boating, rent jet-skis, and play cards till all hours of the morning. This summer has been a summer of play for us! Jared starts school on Monday and will graduate from PT school in May. YAY!!
