Now just a little info so the story makes sense. He loves animals of any kind, but especially dogs. Any time he hears a dog barking he turns to look for it and says "da". He also loves to give kisses-not the kind of kisses most people like (open mouth, tongue sticking out) but nonetheless, they are kisses to him and they have grown to be some of my favorite. Any time you ask he will give you one. So back to the story, this little dog named Hugs leaves one morning and asks several different animals if they will kiss him on the cheek. They do and then he comes home and asks his mom for a kiss and says that although the other kisses were nice, he loves his mom's kisses the best.
As I was reading the story, Ethan got so excited every time he saw the dog and each time I would read the part where he would ask the animals for a kiss, Ethan would lean forward and kiss the page where the dog was!! I loved it and laughed every time. He is such a smart kid and makes my days so happy!

How sweet! I love baby kisses!
that is just so unusual that he likes dogs so much!!! what a sweet story, sweet mama and sweet boy!
I just did a little blog catch-up....looks like you guys are doing well. Love the pictures of your new house, but I want to see more! Ethan is so cute. Crazy to think he is one. So fun he loves it when you read books to him. Can't believe how old your siblings are! And, lastly, I miss you and your curls!!!
Brit! Thanks for your awesome response! I would love that spreadsheet and I would love to know more about freezer meals. I find that I can cook anything - I'm not worried about that; its the before stuff that gets me. I love to walk into the kitchen at 5 and think, "What do I want to eat?" and whip something up. That's just not easy to do when I work until 8:15pm. haha So, planning a schedule the way you do might really help me!
Send me your wisdom! krista.haus@gmail.com. I would love to hear from you :)
How was the holiday season!?
